Stallion Power Herbal Blend: What 'Herbal' Covers

Quick answer

The Stallion Power herbal blend is mostly plant extracts: muira puama, maca, catuaba, green tea, ashwagandha, tribulus and horny goat weed. L-arginine is an amino acid and caffeine is a stimulant. "Herbal" does not mean safe or proven, and two of the herbs have no human trial.

Sorting the blend01

What part of the Stallion Power herbal blend is actually herbal?

Seven of the nine lines come from plants. The other two are L-arginine, an amino acid, and caffeine.

The plant lines are muira puama (a shrub bark), maca (a root), catuaba (a bark), green tea (a leaf), ashwagandha (a root), tribulus (a fruit and root) and horny goat weed (a herb). Caffeine can come from tea or coffee plants but is a single compound.

The nine blend lines by type. Types are general; the label does not name each source.

Natural vs safe02

Does herbal mean safe?

No. Natural does not mean safe, and supplements are not tested by FDA before sale (NIH ODS, Dietary Supplements: What You Need To Know).

Some herbs here have known cautions. Ashwagandha has rare liver reports and is avoided in pregnancy (NCCIH, Ashwagandha). Green tea extract pills have been linked to liver injury. Horny goat weed is advised against with heart disease.

The sales page calls the product "The totally safe and natural method to support your sexual health." We found no evidence behind "totally safe".

What is studied03

Which herbs in the Stallion Power herbal blend have human research?

Some do, in small trials. Muira puama and catuaba have none that we could find.

Maca has a few small trials. Tribulus shows mixed results for erections and unproven testosterone gains. Catuaba products were often adulterated in one analysis, and its extracts showed no effect in a lab erection test (Kletter 2004, catuaba products analysis).

Even where trials exist, they used grams, not the milligrams one gummy holds. The first two lines of the blend lead the order but have the thinnest human record.

Fit check04

Is a herbal gummy a fit for you?

Five quick questions show whether to talk to a doctor first.

The label says anyone who is pregnant, nursing, on medication or with a medical condition should consult a doctor. Keep taking prescribed medicine as directed.

1. Do you take nitrates (such as nitroglycerin), or a prescription for blood pressure, heart disease, erectile dysfunction or blood thinning?
2. Do you have heart disease, chest pain, low blood pressure, or have you been told to avoid sexual activity for heart reasons?
3. Are you under 18, or buying for someone who is?
4. Do you have liver, thyroid or kidney disease, or diabetes?
5. Are there children in your home?
Answer all fiveYour result shows here. It is a checklist, not medical advice.

Next step05

How do you learn more about each herb?

Read the profile for each line before you decide.

The ingredients hub gives the plant, the studied dose and the cautions, one page at a time. Ashwagandha and green tea are the two with liver notes.

FAQ06

Questions about the herbal blend

Are the herbs in Stallion Power standardized?

The label does not say. It names extracts but gives no ratio or active-compound percentage, so you cannot tell how strong each herb is or compare it with a studied product.

Can herbs in a supplement affect prescription medicine?

Yes. Herbs can change how some medicines act, which is why FDA advises telling your clinician about everything you take (FDA, Mixing medications and supplements). Ask before starting, and keep taking prescribed medicine.

Is the herbal blend the reason for the 82 mg total?

The 82 mg covers all nine lines together, including the 5 mg of caffeine and the amino acid. It is not an amount of herbs alone, and the footnote about 567 mg describes dry starting material.
