What does the research say about maca root for men?
It says the evidence is limited. Maca has been tested in a handful of small trials, and none was large enough to settle the question.
A 2010 systematic review found only four maca trials, with doses measured in grams (Shin 2010, maca systematic review). Memorial Sloan Kettering also calls the data on sexual function limited and says there is no standard dose (MSKCC, Maca).
That is not the same as "no effect". It means we cannot say. The trials also used maca as a powder or concentrate, not as a pinch inside a gummy.
